Forest Stewardship Council FM Course By Soil Association

The Soil Association of Bristol in the United Kingdom conducted an FSC Forest Management Training Course on the updated Principles, Criteria and Indicators in Pretoria South Africa in July 2018. Trainees attended from countries such as Chile, Kenya, Namibia and South Africa. The course was well structured and involved E-Learning as well as Face to Face training. The Course Trainers Clive Thomas and Marie- Christine Flechard flew out from the UK to conduct the course. At the end of the course all trainees wrote an assessment examination. The response from all the trainees that attended was very positive and the course was made all the more interesting by the wide variety of backgrounds of the trainees that attended. There were Foresters , Anthropologists, Environmentalists, Legal Specialists and Social Consultants. FSC was even represented at the course by Manushka Moodley the Sub -Regional Coordinator for Southern Africa.
